The Celestial Dance of Bhutan

This film travels to Bhutan, a small Buddhist kingdom in the Himalayas, to witness the sacred masked dances that monks prepare for each year. It shows the meditation, costume and ritual behind a festival that binds the community together and honours the spirit world. The patient camerawork turns an unfamiliar tradition into something intimate and moving. It is a serene, beautifully observed portrait of faith and art in a remote mountain culture.
