Palestine: 3000 Years of History in 2 Hours

Editor's Take

Compressing three millennia into roughly two hours, this film follows the land through ancient empires, the emergence of major religions, and successive conquests at a crossroads of the world. The scope is deliberately panoramic, tracing rulers and peoples across a long and contested chronology. On so charged a subject, it works as a broad historical sweep rather than a resolution of present disputes. Viewers should treat it as an overview of the region's deep past, not a settlement of its arguments.

This film condenses three thousand years of the history of Palestine into a single sweeping account. It follows the land through the ancient empires, the birth of major religions, and the many conquests that shaped a region at the crossroads of the world. Across more than two hours it traces the long chain of rulers, peoples, and conflicts that have passed through this contested ground. It is a broad historical overview of one of the most fought-over lands on Earth. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
