Nuclear Weapon Testing - How Bad Are the Consequences Today?
This documentary, narrated by Martin Sheen, exposes the human cost of America's nuclear weapons testing in the Nevada desert. Between 1951 and 1992, more than nine hundred large-scale tests were carried out at the Mercury site, exposing nearby communities to fallout. The film gives voice to the downwinders who paid the price for decades of official disregard. Harrowing and important, it uncovers a legacy of harm hidden behind the mushroom clouds.
