Through Kazakhstan by train
Rate itMember ratings
Each year, a train carrying doctors and medical gear travels through remote areas of Kazakhstan. The project is called Salamatty Kazakhstan, or "Healthy Kazakhstan." The train is underway for eight months and the clinic operates daily. Salamatty Kazakhstan was launched by the government to improve medical care in the country's sparsely populated regions. Some communities are hundreds of kilometers from the nearest hospital or clinic. The train's timetable is shared online.
