This documentary reconstructs the night of 10 July 1985, when French navy operatives planted mines on the Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior in Auckland Harbour. The explosion sank the ship and killed photographer Fernando Pereira, turning a protest vessel into the target of a state attack. Through the events it reveals a scandal of espionage and cover-up.
