Britain’s Controversial Desert Campaign

This documentary revisits Britain's desert campaign in the Middle East, the fight that could have cost the empire and the war in 1942 had the Axis broken through. With Tim Collins as guide, it re-examines the terrain, the tactics, and the controversial decisions demanded to hold the line against Rommel. It weighs the stakes of a theatre often overshadowed by the war in Europe. Sharp and soldierly, it makes the case for why the desert mattered. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
