Artist Rasmus Myrup: I Want to Be Part of It

“I just want to dissolve myself and distribute myself to everyone around.” Meet the artist Rasmus Myrup, whose work spans drawing and painting, sculptural folklore figures, and speculative evolutionary artworks. “I’ve always felt there’s a membrane between myself and others.” Rasmus Myrup says, recalling the sensation since childhood. The early experience of disconnection became a lifelong impulse towards making: a way to reach across the membrane, not to explain the self, but to connect.
