The US Plan to Kill Its Own Citizens: Operation Northwoods

Dr.Docs' Take

Operation Northwoods is the one that ends the argument about whether governments would ever plot against their own people, because in 1962 the US Joint Chiefs formally proposed exactly that, fake hijackings and staged attacks to justify a war with Cuba. President Kennedy rejected it, and the document was declassified decades later. I do not need to speculate here, the signed proposal exists. This is the gold standard of false-flag history, and it should be taught in every classroom.

This short film revisits Operation Northwoods, a 1962 proposal by senior US military leaders to stage false-flag attacks on American soil to justify a war with Cuba. It lays out the chilling blueprint, from fake hijackings to staged bombings, and how close it came to approval. Drawing on declassified records, it separates the documented plan from the myths that surround it. It is a compact, unsettling look at Cold War secrecy and the schemes that never made it past the drawing board. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
