MK-Ultra: The CIA's Secret Pursuit of Mind Control

Dr.Docs' Take

MK-Ultra is the CIA's Cold War program to find out whether you can break a mind and rebuild it to order, funding psychiatric institutions across the US and Canada to dose people, often without consent, with LSD and worse. I never had to be talked into believing this one, because the surviving documents did the convincing. The scariest conspiracy on the shelf is always the one that turned out to be filed paperwork. The clerk who missed the shredding in 1973 is the only reason we know.

In the early days of the Cold War, the CIA launched a secret program to explore mind control. This film investigates MK-Ultra and the disturbing experiments funded across the United States and Canada, often on unwitting subjects. It uncovers how far the agency was willing to go in the pursuit of controlling the human mind. Chilling and revealing, it exposes one of the darkest chapters in intelligence history.
