Meeting Snowden captures a rare, quiet conversation between the whistleblower and a couple of global privacy campaigners, less about the leak itself than what it means for the rest of us. I like this one for its stillness, no chase music, just the argument. Snowden exposed a surveillance machine, and the interesting question is what a free society is supposed to do about it. Thoughtful, sober, and a good antidote to the thriller version of the story.

This documentary centres on Edward Snowden, the former intelligence contractor who in 2013 exposed the vast machinery of mass surveillance. It follows a secret meeting between him and leading civil liberties campaigners as they discuss privacy, power and the price of speaking out.
