Battlefield: The Siege of Leningrad

Editor's Take

Telling the siege of Leningrad in full, this film reckons with a blockade that lasted 872 days and stands among the deadliest in modern history. It leans on survivor testimony and rare archive to convey the starvation and cold of a city sealed off and shelled. The intent is commemorative as much as explanatory, honoring endurance rather than dissecting strategy. It is a demanding watch by subject and by design.
