Yunnan's improbable range, from snow peaks and gorges to rice terraces and rainforest, gives this episode an unusually varied canvas. It follows the wildlife that these overlapping habitats support, using the province's geography to explain its biological richness. The photography is the immediate appeal, with the ecology drawn in supporting strokes. A rewarding look at one of China's most diverse corners.
