Flying Dreams: Women Airforce Pilots of WWII

This documentary honours the Women Airforce Service Pilots, the 25,000 American women who volunteered to fly for their country during the Second World War. From teenagers to women in their fifties, they ferried aircraft and took on dangerous duties to free male pilots for combat. Through their testimony it captures both the thrill of flight and the fight for recognition that followed. Inspiring and long overdue, it restores a remarkable chapter of aviation and wartime history. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
