The Last Unexplored Place on Earth
On Indonesia's rugged island of Sulawesi lies the Matarombeo mountain range, an unexplored fortress of jagged limestone and dense jungle. Geologist Evrad Vendelboom and his team of specialists embark on an 18-day expedition, navigating a treacherous river to explore the area's biodiversity, find ancient rock paintings, and document the elusive anoa, the world's smallest bovid. The goal is to gather crucial data to argue for the protection of this unique and fragile ecosystem.
