Unless you've traveled to this hidden Southeast Asian nation, you've probably never experienced Timorese food culture before—and honestly, I had no clue what to expect. From active street food markets packed with cheap, fiery dishes to a 40-minute drive out of town for fresh beachside seafood, this country completely blew me away.
