February 11th, 1962, Julia Frances Moore jumps to her death from an eighth-floor window. Eight months later, 27-year-old Pauline Otton jumps from one on the ninth. It’s a trial of murder and suicide which has continued right up to the recent past, including the hotel being the temporary home of the notorious Nightstalker serial killer, Richard Ramirez. Many hotels have achieved fame for the people who stayed there, even for the people who died there.
