The Overnighters

This documentary follows desperate job seekers who flock to a North Dakota boomtown during an oil rush, and the pastor who opens his church to shelter them. As the newcomers strain the community's patience, the film reveals the human cost of chasing work and the complicated motives behind one man's charity. Intimate and morally complex, it grows into a story about compassion, judgment, and hidden truths. It is a quietly powerful portrait of America on the margins. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
