Rare Wildlife of the Chinese Himalayas

Editor's Take

A short study of the rare wildlife clinging to life in the Chinese Himalayas, among the least-filmed high-altitude ecosystems on Earth. Compact and quietly remarkable for the animals it manages to capture.

This 4K documentary explores the rare wildlife of the Chinese Himalayas, a high and remote frontier few cameras reach. It follows the animals that have adapted to survive at extreme altitude, revealing the wonders and dangers of one of the planet's harshest environments. The film pairs striking mountain scenery with careful natural history. It is a rewarding look at a little-seen corner of the wild. Free to stream in 4K on Dr Documentary.
