Snow Monkeys of Jigokudani in Winter

Filmed in deep winter at Jigokudani Yaen-koen in Nagano Prefecture, this short 4K film documents Japanese macaques bathing in a steaming hot spring as snow falls around them. The famous snow monkeys of Jigokudani are shown in their most iconic behaviour, framed by mountain forest and rising steam. Brief and meditative, it captures a rare and much-loved natural spectacle.
