Wild Pandas: The Secret Life of China National Treasure

Editor's Take

Following the naturalist Ray Mears into Sichuan's cloud forests, this film visits the habitat of China's remaining wild giant pandas and the centre working to conserve them. Its 4K photography captures both the animals and the misty mountains they depend on. The tone is one of patient enthusiasm, attentive to the difficulty of protecting a species so closely tied to a single, shrinking landscape.
