Operation Gladio: The CIA's Secret Nazi-Collaborating Terror Armies

Dr.Docs' Take

This is Gladio from the angle that makes people uncomfortable, the argument that Western intelligence built secret far-right networks partly staffed by former fascists after World War Two. It is a heavy claim, and the documented core of it is heavier still. I keep this filed under conspiracies confirmed by declassification, not imagination. The tidy Cold War story we were taught has some very dark footnotes it would rather you skipped.

In the aftermath of the Second World War, Western intelligence services helped establish secret armed networks across NATO countries. This film investigates Operation Gladio and the shadowy alliances that stretched from the war's end into the Cold War. It explores allegations of far-right terror, collaboration and political manipulation hidden from the public. Detailed and unsettling, it uncovers a covert history with lasting implications.
