Secret War: The Polish Spy

Dr.Docs' Take

Secret War tells the story of Christine Granville, a Polish-born SOE agent whose nerve, charm and sheer audacity got her out of a Gestapo interrogation and made her one of Churchill's most effective spies. I love a wartime espionage story where the truth genuinely outguns the fiction. Granville talked her way through checkpoints that killed lesser agents. A gripping slice of the secret war fought in the shadows behind the front lines.

This episode of Secret War follows Christine Granville, the Polish-born SOE agent whose daring made her a legend of wartime espionage. It recounts how she gathered vital intelligence with the French Resistance and survived a nerve-shredding confrontation with the Gestapo. Through her exploits it reveals the shadow war run out of Churchill's secret service. It is a gripping watch for anyone drawn to spies and clandestine operations.
