The New Rednecks: Pride, Anger and the Rural Divide

This documentary explores the rural American subculture that has reclaimed the word redneck as a badge of pride. Once an insult aimed at poor Southerners, the label is now embraced by a generation that celebrates country traditions, music and big engines. The film examines the pride, anger and sense of identity behind a widening rural divide. It listens to the people themselves rather than reducing them to stereotypes. It is a candid look at a community often misunderstood. Free to stream in 4K on Dr Documentary.
