A Thousand Cuts
This feature-length FRONTLINE documentary follows Maria Ressa, the journalist who became a prime target of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's war on the press before winning the Nobel Peace Prize. It examines what happens to democracy when press freedom is threatened and disinformation spreads. The film is both a personal story and a warning about the fragility of the free press. It is a gripping account of courage under authoritarian pressure. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
