Wild France: A Spectacular Journey Part 1

Editor's Take

Turning to a country better known for its cities, this first part of a French wildlife survey finds abundant nature among forests and castle-shadowed river valleys. It follows individual animals through small dramas, including a goose family shepherding its young toward flight. The approach is observational and patient, built on close attention rather than argument. It is a reminder of how much wildlife persists in a long-settled landscape.

This 4K documentary journeys across the wild landscapes of France, from ancient forests to river valleys watched over by medieval castles. It follows the animals that live there through moments of drama and tenderness, such as a goose family guiding their young on their first flight. The film reveals a surprising abundance of nature in a country better known for its cities. Beautiful and immersive, it is a rewarding wildlife tour. Free to stream in 4K on Dr Documentary.
