Wild Cats of Kenya: Predators of the Savannah

Editor's Take

Set in the Maasai Mara, one of Africa's most crowded predator landscapes, this film concentrates on the lions that dominate the reserve. It stays close to the daily arithmetic of survival: the hunt, the rivalry between prides, the constant pressure of competition. The camera favours sustained observation over narrative shaping, and the density of wildlife does much of the work. It is a focused portrait rather than a broad savannah survey.

Wild Cats of Kenya follows the big cats of the Maasai Mara, one of the most famous and densely populated wildlife reserves on Earth. The film focuses on the lions that reign over these savannahs, capturing their hunts, their rivalries, and the daily struggle to survive. Shot in 4K, it showcases the drama of predator life on the East African plains. It is a striking portrait of Kenya's most powerful hunters. Free to stream in 4K on Dr Documentary.
