Coming of Age in the Himalayas: Two Young Girls' Journey Into Adulthood
This documentary follows two teenage girls coming of age in the remote Zanskar region of the Himalayas, where their paths diverge sharply. Tenzin faces marriage to a man she did not choose, while Palkit prepares to enter a convent and shave her head to become a nun. The film sits with them as they cross into adulthood in a world bound by tradition. Intimate and affecting, it is a tender portrait of two very different futures.
