Reindeer Police

This documentary follows the reindeer police of northern Norway, who mediate disputes among the Sami herders of Lapland. In a vast land where over two hundred thousand reindeer are shared among a few hundred breeders, tensions can run high. The film captures the unusual work of keeping peace across the frozen expanse and the traditions bound up in it. It is a fascinating look at herding, law and life above the Arctic Circle.
