This documentary follows nine-year-old Urgan, who lives in an isolated village high in the northern Himalayas at 3,800 meters. Buddhist tradition calls for him to leave his family and enter a monastery, a journey that means crossing a dangerous high pass. The film captures the beauty and hardship of his world and the weight of the choice before him. It is a tender portrait of childhood, faith and the mountains. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
