The Assassination of President Lincoln: The Full Story of the KGC Conspiracy

Dr.Docs' Take

This goes past the schoolbook Lincoln assassination to the Knights of the Golden Circle, a shadowy Confederate secret society, using forensic geology and ground-penetrating radar to chase hidden tunnels and coded ciphers. I keep one eyebrow permanently raised at the buried-treasure end of this, and I still find the KGC genuinely eerie. The society was real, its ambitions were real, and the rest is a wonderful rabbit hole. A ripping historical mystery, salt optional but recommended.

This investigative film goes beyond the standard account of Lincoln's assassination to examine the Knights of the Golden Circle, a shadowy Confederate secret society. Using forensic geology and ground-penetrating radar, it explores hidden tunnels and coded clues said to link the group to the conspiracy. The blend of history and field investigation keeps the mystery grounded. It is an intriguing watch for anyone drawn to Civil War history and the darker theories around Lincoln's death.
