In 1944, amid the chaos of Operation Market Garden, German soldiers allegedly buried crates of gold looted from a bank in Arnhem, and a newly declassified map has sparked a modern treasure hunt. I am a complete sucker for a real Nazi-gold map, and I know exactly how many of these end in a muddy field and disappointment. Still, the map is real and the dig is real. Pure adventure-conspiracy comfort food, and I make no apologies for loving it.
