Prejudice or Opportunity? When the LGBTQ+ Community Moves to the Country
This documentary looks at what happens when LGBTQ+ people build their lives in the countryside rather than the city, where coming out can carry very different risks. It follows queer individuals in rural communities as they weigh belonging against prejudice, and it listens to neighbours as well as newcomers. Rather than pitting town against province, it shows how attitudes actually shift when people know one another face to face. The result is a thoughtful portrait of acceptance, isolation and the search for home. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
