Wolf Children in Lithuania: Forgotten Orphans of World War Two

This DW documentary uncovers the forgotten story of the Wolf Children, German orphans who fled to Lithuania in the chaos at the end of World War Two. Through Luise, who was just four when she left Konigsberg and was given a new name and forbidden to speak German, it reveals lives reshaped by shifting borders. The film restores a hidden chapter of wartime survival and lost identity. A poignant watch on World War Two, childhood and memory. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
