Grizzly: A Yellowstone Story

Editor's Take

Filmed over three years and narrated by Susan Sarandon, this portrait follows Yellowstone's grizzlies through the seasonal cycles that govern their lives. It observes the bears hunting, raising cubs, and enduring the lean stretches, keeping close to behavior rather than reaching for a wider message. The extended shoot yields the film's strongest passages, quiet stretches of watching that reward the viewer's patience as much as the animals'.

Shot over three years and narrated by Susan Sarandon, this documentary follows the grizzly bears of Yellowstone National Park through the wild rhythm of their lives. It reveals how these powerful animals hunt, raise their cubs, and endure the harsh cycles of the seasons in one of America's greatest wildernesses. The patient filming captures rarely seen moments of grizzly behavior. Intimate and beautiful, it is a rewarding Yellowstone story. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
