Why Is Remains a Threat

This documentary asks whether the so-called Islamic State remains a threat, focusing on northern Syria where former fighters are held in insecure prisons. Among their children, a new generation is growing up amid poverty, disaster and the shadow of extremism. Through reporting on the ground, the film explores the unresolved dangers left behind by the group. It is a sobering look at the aftermath of a defeated caliphate.
