Wild Ecuador: From Amazon to Galapagos

Editor's Take

Ecuador's unusual geography, where Amazon lowland, Andean highland, and the Galapagos meet within one small country, gives this film its organizing idea. It follows the animals adapted to each zone, using the contrast between jungle, peak, and volcanic shore to show how much variety a compact territory can hold. The approach is straightforwardly observational, letting place drive the sequence of encounters. For viewers curious about biodiversity hotspots, it is a clear and well-photographed introduction.

Wild Ecuador follows life across a country where the Amazon rainforest, the Andes mountains, and the Galapagos Islands meet. The film tracks the extraordinary creatures that thrive at this natural crossroads, from lowland jungle to high peaks to remote volcanic shores. Presented in 4K, it captures the striking range of habitats packed into one small nation. It is a vivid exploration of one of the most ecologically varied places on the planet.
