Separated From Birth: The Reunion
This documentary follows three sisters and a brother meeting for the first time after being separated as infants during Canada's Sixties Scoop. Taken from their young Dene mother and adopted into different families, they reunite to piece together the identity and heritage they lost. It gives full weight to the pain of that separation and the joy of reconnection. Deeply moving and humane, it turns one family's story into a reckoning with a national injustice.
