How trailblazer Dr Kris Rallah-Baker made medical history | Australian Story
As Australia's first Indigenous eye surgeon, Kris Rallah-Baker is a trailblazer. But breaking into his chosen field of medicine has not been easy. On the zigzag path to becoming a doctor, Kris had to challenge stereotypes, defy expectations and call out racism. The eye doctor runs a private practice in Noosa but also works in remote communities, treating the higher-than-average rates of eye disease in First Nations communities.
