The fascinating migration of tuna

Tuna are among the world’s most coveted fish. For millennia they were the Mediterranean’s “manna,” but industrial fishing has pushed many species to the brink—only about 8% of their former population remains. Marine biologist Boris Frentzel-Beyme follows the tuna migration from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, visiting suspected spawning grounds and meeting fishermen and experts along the way. His dives reveal rare Mediterranean wildlife and never-before-filmed species.
