Britain's Elderly: The Forgotten Poor

This investigative documentary exposes the hidden poverty endured by many of Britain's elderly, despite promises that no one would be left behind. From filmmakers Kate Blewett and Brian Woods, it lays bare the neglect, isolation and hardship faced by older people. Through their stories it asks how a wealthy nation came to forget its most vulnerable citizens. Compassionate and unflinching, it is a sobering look at old age at the margins.
