On April 30th, 1945, she and Adolf Hitler took their lives in the bunker beneath Berlin's New Reich Chancellery. Just the day before, Hitler had married Braun, his long-time mistress. Largely kept away from the public, Braun spent much of her life in Munich or at Hitler’s Berghof residence in the Alps.
