What do young Chinese people dream of? What hopes and goals do they have? Do the grandchildren of the "rising generation” still believe in progress through work, and prosperity for all? Or do they have different values? In China, people rarely talk about their own dreams. There is the government’s "Chinese Dream,” of course: It promises prosperity to those who work hard and propel their country forward to the top of the world. But the boom is over, and China’s economy is stagnating.
