From The Harz Mountains To The North Sea
From frozen lakes in mid-February to the tidal waters of the North Sea, this documentary reveals Germany’s hidden underwater world between the Harz Mountains, the Elbe and the coast. Carp survive beneath the ice, pike begin their spring hunt, beavers reshape riverbanks, and rare birds patrol Mecklenburg’s vast lake district. Beneath the surface, fish migrations connect rivers, lakes and sea in a fragile natural network shaped by winter, spring floods and human intervention.
