Hunting Down the Most Valuable Meteorite

Two seasoned meteorite hunters return to Chile's Atacama Desert, the driest place on Earth, chasing one of the most valuable space rocks a collector can find. At 11,000 feet the film follows their painstaking search across the Imilac strewnfield, where fragments of a shattered pallasite have lain for centuries. It captures both the science of reading these rocks and the sheer grit of working in such punishing conditions. For anyone drawn to geology, space, and real-world treasure hunting, it is a satisfying watch. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
