Documentary series set in the Royal Derby Hospital, where a million patients are treated each year. This first episode features Dan, an energetic consultant, who is under pressure to find out what is wrong with a 20-year-old who is having violent fits. He then resuscitates Eric, a 65-year-old who has a sudden cardiac arrest. Jayne, a senior sister in the liver ward, is helping patients James and Zehir through alcohol detox.
