Why radio star James Valentine resolved to die on his own terms | Australian Story
When broadcaster James Valentine was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer two and half years ago, he was offered two different treatment options by two different doctors. Both carried risk. He chose the treatment that that let him keep doing what he loved — presenting radio, playing sax and enjoying food. The cancer returned a year later. Australian Story followed James Valentine over 12 months as he made peace with his decision and turned his thoughts to dying well.
